Local celebrity Dental Clinic recognised by the British Dental Association
The prestigious Brooklands Dental and Aesthetics Clinic based in Broughton, Milton Keynes has recently been
recognised by the British Dental Association (BDA) as committed to good practice and has joined its Good
Practice Scheme. Brooklands is one of just 35 practices in the County to be awarded with Good Practice Scheme
membership. This means that the clinic meets nationally recognised standards in order to provide the best possible
care for its patients.
As a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme, each member of the dental team has signed up to the following commitment:*
- We aim to provide dental care of consistently good quality for all patients
- We only provide care that meets your needs and wishes
- We aim to make your treatment as comfortable and convenient as possible
- We look after your general health and safety while receiving dental care
- We follow the current guidelines on infection control
- We check for mouth cancer and tell you what we find
- We take part in continuing professional development to keep our skills and knowledge up to date
- We train all staff in practice wide work systems and review training plans once a year
- We welcome feedback and deal promptly with any complaints
- Every member of the practice is aware of the need to work safely under General Dental Council guidelines.
Over the last 12 months, the team at Brooklands has been working hard to comply with the 100 requirements of the
Scheme. “It has been quite a journey and each member of the team has given total commitment to complying with
the requirements, said Rita Conway, the Clinic Manager, everyone has found it worthwhile and we really all feel that
we have improved our service to patients and focused our team on getting it right first time every time”.
Mr and Mrs Freeman, commented “ having been patients at Brooklands Dental Clinic since it opened in March 2007, we are thrilled that the excellent service and treatment have been recognised and look forward to them having a long and happy future”
Brooklands founder, Dr Wynand de Jager, pictured centre with some of his team said, “We involve all our patients in
their treatment right from the start. We discuss the options available and give them all the information they need to
decide which is best for them. They then receive a written outline of the agreed treatment, how many appointments
they need and what it will cost. We make sure that there are no hidden costs or surprises”. Patient waiting times are
kept to a minimum and every effort is made to make appointments that are convenient to the patient. |
